Some of the best fajitas in Oklahoma City. The service was extremely friendly, but not as attentive as they should have been. Management spent too much time watching television and chatting up the hostess to even care. Will return because of the food, but certainly hope the service improves.

No matter what you order, the taste is going to rock your world. Standout potable: Caipirinha (Brazilian mixed drink similar to mojito, but more awesome). Standout appetizer: Coconut shrimp (Oh, that sauce!). Standout entree: Cuban Pork Shoulder (this is a difficult choice, but I chose the pork because it's the best I've tasted since Jamaica). Standout dessert: Tres Leches cake (sublime). My only quibble is with the dining room -- it isn't the sort of cozy place you want to stay in for hours. You're a fish in a fishbowl, and when it's crowded, quarters are tight. All the same, 1492 is a wonderful vision and a great addition to the area. BTW, "Mexican" is too limiting a category for this place -- you don't have to be in the mood for Mexican food to love what's on the menu.
