This Facebook page is not a safe place to discuss individual problems by persons who would like to become clients of LSEM because the information will not be confidential; it can be seen here by many other people. To protect a potential client's confidentiality and rights, all requests for help need to go through Legal Services of Eastern Missouri’s (LSEM) Advocacy and Referral Team via phone—which is private and confidential. Please call the LSEM office at 800-444-0514 between the hours of 9am and 3pm, Monday through Thursday and tell them the nature of your problem. They will get more information from you to determine whether you are eligible for our help and whether we have the resources to take your case. Please be aware that due to limited resources, we are not able to help all the people who we would like to help, who need our assistance and who we wish very much that we did have enough resources to help. We are working everyday to raise more money to be able to serve more low-income persons who need free civil legal help. When appropriate to protect the privacy and rights of people seeking help, we will delete posts or comments containing personal or otherwise confidential information.
